Policies

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students:

Welcome to Osipova Ballet Academy!

So that we may provide the highest quality ballet education, please read the following carefully.

To provide your children with the highest quality of instruction, we need parents to work with us and support the children. Only teachers and students are allowed in the classroom; no parents or visitors please. We also ask that there is no videotaping of our classes.

Students will be promoted/placed in class/program according to their progress and ability, rather than grade and age alone.

Please focus on the teacher when they are speaking, listening carefully is a critical part of the learning experience. Remember all corrections apply to all students. Students should not correct each other. At the end of class, it is appropriate to thank your instructor, remember respect goes a long way. Parents are kindly asked not to disrupt class or give corrections.

We do not allow observation or videotaping during class time in order to promote focus and concentration.

Students will learn the most through consistent attendance. Regular attendance is necessary not only for the benefit of the student but for the class as a whole. If a student will be absent, please call the office in advance when possible.

Students must attend the required number of lessons per week to remain in the level in which they have been placed. No tuition adjustments for missed lessons.

Unsatisfactory attendance may affect a student's ability to graduate to the next level, be approved for pointe shoes, or perform in our June performance.

Students with multiple absences during performance season may not be able to perform in our performance.

No parents, family, or childcare providers are permitted to remain in the classroom once the teacher has begun the class.  We also ask that you wait outside until the door has been opened by the instructor when picking up students to limit distractions.

A minimum of 3 students must be enrolled in order to keep a class on the schedule. If class is cancelled we will attempt to place students in another class/time at their level. Osipova Ballet Academy reserves the right to engage a qualified substitute teacher when the regular teacher cannot attend. Osipova Ballet Academy is not responsible for children who are not enrolled at the studio. Please do not leave children unattended.

The studio doors open 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the first scheduled class. Osipova Ballet Academy will not be responsible for students who arrive before this time. To protect the safety of our students, Osipova Ballet Academy requires that they arrive and depart as close to the scheduled class times as possible. Osipova Ballet Academy requires students to be picked up no later than 10 minutes after the end of their class. Parents with students under the age of 6 are to remain within 2 min walking distance from the studio during class time.

Please keep lobby distraction free while classes are running. No food or drinks in the studios, water is permitted.

NO GUM ALLOWED at any time. No running in the studios or lobby.

Students should use restroom before class.

Please NO street shoes in the dressing rooms or classrooms.
